In his professional life, Andrew has a background in the electricity sector, with over 30 years experience in developing electricity projects in more than 30 countries. He has worked with governments and the private sector and is especially focused on the energy transition and supporting technologies which support the move to a zero carbon economy.

Andrew is married to a Romanian, and has developed a great love for Romania, especially the beauty of its nature, friendliness of people and richness of culture. He has travelled extensively in Romania and the family have a home in Timișoara.

He has a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, and spent 14 years living in several countries in Europe and Asia.
